         The brief history of LINUX
 In Finland, a student studying in the university of Helsinki named as Linus Torvalds . At that time , the students & people are used the operating system called UNIX. And the students are used an version of UNIX called MINIX . The MINIX was developed by the prof.Andrew.S.Tannenbaum. Mr .Linus studied the MINIX and he got  attracted by the elegance and effectiveness of its parent UNIX. The UNIX was created by the Ken Thompson. The Linus was decided to develop an effective pc version of  UNIX  for the MINIX users. And he developed an version that was named as LINUX (his first name and the last letter of UNIX ).and he released a version 0.11 in the year 1991.s      
       LINUX was widely distributed by the internet. The LINUX was attracted by everyone and the programmers are refined the new operating system , LINUX and added some special features found in the standard UNIX systems.                                 The LINUX became the unique one. And then the LINUX had  one special advantage over the other operating systems are developed by an some closed environment and a very small limited number of peoples are allowed to remove the errors in the entire code and a fixed dead line but LINUX  was not having these formalities. LINUX having a friendly atmosphere and the LINUX codes were available to all in the world. The LINUX has got all the utilities needed for the internet.
       The LINUX is the amazing operating system with all its features and occupies an smallest memory. It just only 4mb of memory. This will not affect the speed or its stability. Even though many developers are developed the LINUX in all over the world it is not unwieldy.  
       LINUX was developed from the beginning according to the ANSI standard for UNIX called POSIX (portable operating system interface for computer environments). And also the LINUX is specially designed for the Intel-based pc's.
       The big thing is internet it is very useful and it is a boon for the LINUX. Many developers are developing the LINUX through the internet.
       The LINUX is having two versions of its each release of the LINUX.
              (1) One is stable version
              (2) One is trial or beta version (developer’s version).
